About The Full Moon Design Hostel

The Full Moon Design Hostel is a new addition to the hostels of Budapest. Located in the center of Budapest, the Full Moon Design Hostel has public transportation about 20 or so meters from its front door, is walking distance to the Nyugati Railway station and the West End shopping center and is about a five minute walk to Parliament and Margaret Island.
 
The facade of the building speaks of old world charm with grand heavy wooden doors, sculpture enhanced columns and archway. However once you walk into the Full Moon Design Hostel you’re greeted by a sleek front desk, modern furniture with clean lines, 60′s rock and roll influenced color schemes and floor to ceiling images of rock legends like Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix and John Legend.

The feel of the lobby is comfortable but youthful. You catch a faint whiff of paint because the hostel is just that new. As you roam the halls and head to your quarters, you are greeted by more music legend images like Bob Marley and Bono of U2. The living quarters are spacious, painted in hues of soothing blue, green or beige depending on what room type you’ve selected. The Full Moon Design Hostel offers rooms that can accommodate between 4 to 8 people as well as private rooms. Ample storage space is provided in each room whether shared or private in the form of large lockers. The bathrooms are en-suite, pristine and offer modern amenities such as heated towel racks, tank-less toilets and spacious showers.

The common areas and kitchen offer an environment where people are encouraged to stay and chat for a while. Exposed brick on the wall near the kitchen table adds a bit of old world charm to a very modern decor. Boasting a modern kitchen with ample preparation space, multiple cooks in the kitchen should not prove to be a problem if you choose to make a meal. The kitchen is equipped with two microwave ovens and a cook top with conventional oven. While there is a famous pub directly under the Full Moon Design Hostel called Morrison’s Pub 2 that offers food, drink and dancing in the evening, the hostel is within walking distance to supermarkets for cooking supplies and restaurants if you decide to go out and eat.
 
The Full Moon Design Hostel’s front desk is open 24 hours. The staff speaks Hungarian, Spanish, English and German to assist you with all of your stay and travel needs. You have the option to request a sound proof room and will be given that room if available. If not ear plugs are available from the front desk free of charge as the pub bar doubles as a disco in the evenings.
